Hello First Church Family!

We hope you’re all doing well this week so far! We had a wonderful and exciting weekend as we celebrated those who made their public declaration of faith through baptism as well as welcomed those who joined First Church as members! We also had a good time on Saturday watching UP on the side lawn, complete with fresh popped popcorn and refreshments! We’re so thankful for all that God is doing and we’re grateful we get to experience all that He is doing with you all!

Here’s more information on what we have going on at First Church this week:

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

We are hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive this Friday, May 7th from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Visit redcrossblood.org to signup for an appointment to donate. We will update if walk-ins will be accepted.

Volunteer Opportunity :: We need two individuals to volunteer during the blood drive during those hours. Volunteers will assist at the registration table at the entrance. If interested please email José (jluna@fcministries.com).

COMMUNION SUNDAY

We will be having communion on Sunday, May 16th! We will be serving communion using individually packaged elements (cup & wafer). For those who will be watching online and wish to partake in communion, we ask that you have the elements ready at your homes - a piece of bread or cracker and a cup of grape juice (or water if grape juice is not available). CARE NET PENINSULA :: POP-UP CHURCH 4 LIFE

Care Net will be doing something new this year as a fundraiser. Instead of the normal Walk4Life event, they will be hosting a Pop-Up Church4Life event on Saturday, May 8th beginning at 9:30am. The event is taking place at Coastal Community Church.

You can find out more about the event at peninsulawalk4life.org where they have information regarding the event, ways to give, and the teams that are raising funds.

First Church has a team that you can join and give on behalf of this year. The Team Leader for First Church is Emily Hart. If you would like to join the First Church team or have questions regarding the Pop-Up Church4Life event, you can contact Emily at emily.hart.19@cnu.edu.

AZ MISSION TRIP UPDATE

You can now view AZ Missions updates over at fcministries.com/announcements - we’ll update weekly with our fundraisers and support goal as well as any other news related to our trip such as prayer requests.
