Matthew 10:29-31

[29] Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. [30] But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. [31] So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

Subject: This passage is a contrasting analogy between the sparrow and you      and me. This is about our VALUE!

Substance: Who is God who watches the sparrow?

1. God is Omniscient—He knows everything!

2. God is Omnipresent—He is everywhere!

3. God is Omnipotent—He is the all-powerful Creator!

4. God is Immanent—He is always close to us!

            1. He became incarnate—God in human form.

            2. He sacrificed His life for us.

            3. He dwells within us in the person of the Holy Spirit.

5. What Makes Us So Valuable to God?

            1. Consider the creativity of God.

            2. Consider the potential of mankind.

            3. Consider the longevity of our existence.

            4. Consider the uniqueness of each of us.

            5. Consider that Christ substituted His life on our behalf.
