Our Leadership

TAG KILGORE

Interim Senior Pastor

Tag began his ministry after graduating from Bible college, earning advanced degrees while pastoring churches in multiple states. In 1981, he moved to Newport News, Virginia, to lead First Church, serving as pastor for over 22 years. Under his leadership, the church grew in attendance, expanded its ministries, and secured the land in Port Warwick where the church now stands.

After retiring in 2003, Tag served as interim pastor and consultant to 16 area churches. He now returns to First Church as our interim Senior Pastor. Tag and his wife, Joy, have been married for 54 years and cherish spending time with their children and two grandchildren.

Adam is passionate about using his gifts to lead worship and committed to guiding the congregation in a meaningful worship experience.

Heidi Dittmar

First Impressions

Heidi grew up as a preacher’s kid, watching her parents serve in the church and often stepping into leadership roles during her youth. After moving to Virginia, finding a church where she truly fit in proved challenging, but discovering First Church in 2008 felt like a gift from God. Heidi describes FCM as a fantastic and fun place to serve alongside friends who have become family.

Heidi graduated from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Having met her husband, Bill, over 30 years ago, the two have been partners in life and business ever since. They currently coach and train business owners, leaders, and the transitioning Special Operations Forces community.

Passionate about fitness and the outdoors, Heidi also enjoys cozying up with a good book when the opportunity arises.
