Philippians 1:21-24
[21] For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. [22] But if I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. So what shall I choose? I do not know. [23] I am torn between the two. I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better indeed. [24] But it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

What is a good definition of Passion
Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who is working in you both the will and to do His good pleasure.”
Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering being conformed to His death.”
Philippians 4:11 “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.”
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
1. WHY DO WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND OUR PASSION?
A. Why do we lose our passion?
Or as the Ephesians who “left their first love” (Revelation 2:4). We know when we have it, but why does it slip away?
B. Two universal truths answer the question.
1. The familiar overtakes the passion.
2. Our purpose reverts back to ourselves.
2. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE UNLEASH OUR PASSION FOR CHRIST?
What does a deep love for Jesus and passion for Him look like?
Passion for Jesus changes me from within.
Passion for Jesus makes what appears impossible possible.
Passion motivates me to do what I love.
Passion for Jesus energizes our faith and enables us to overcome difficulty.
Passion inspires others. When we see genuine passion we want some of it.
Passion attracts the right people to you, and the wrong type of people avoid you!
3. HOW DO WE BRING OUR PASSION BACK TO ITS MAXIMUM FOR JESUS?
Restore your passion by asking God to do so for you.
Rediscover your spiritual gifts.
Rebuild your network of associations.
Remember how good it was when we were passionate about Christ.
