Ephesians 3:14-20

A Prayer for the Ephesians

[14] For this reason I kneel before the Father, [15] from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. [16] I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, [17] so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, [18] may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, [19] and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

[20] Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, [21] to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

            2. Philadelphia means brotherly love

            3. Storge means parental protective love

            4. Agapao means unconditional love

            5. Agape means deep or highest affection made by choice

            2. His love for you is fail proof: 1 Corinthians 13.8

            3. His love for you is reciprocal: 1 John 4.19

            4. His love for you exceeds explanation: 1 John 3.1

3. The Dimensions of God’s personal love for you.

            1. Let’s comprehend the breadth or width of God’s love. (Psalm 103.11-12)

            2. Let’s comprehend the length of God’s love. (Psalm 103.17)

            3. Lets comprehend the height of God’s love. (Psalm 103.11).

            4. Let’s comprehend the depth of God’s love. (Psalm 103.4).

4. The Demonstration of God’s personal love to you:

“Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to willingly give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a good man [one who is noble and selfless and worthy] someone might even dare to die. But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5.8).
