// Season of Service

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed so far to our Season of Service events! We had a successful work day at the church a few weeks back. Quite a few showed up to do some deep cleaning, work on outside lighting, change out ceiling tiles, and so much more.

This year we were able to sponsor 41 children through the Angel Tree program from Prison Fellowship. That means that 41 children will be able to enjoy Christmas through the gifts bought on behalf of the individuals who are incarcerated. These children will receive gifts from their wish list as well as the gospel message through Prison Fellowship.

Many of you donated food items towards the Meal Kits for Thrive Peninsula. This past week we delivered 90 meal kits totaling 443 pounds of food! Thrive will distribute those kits through their free food Market where individuals needing food assistance get to shop for their favorite grocery items.

It has been wonderful seeing so many needs met in our community and it’s been because of your kind and generous giving. THANK YOU for using your time, talents, treasures, and talk to help spread hope to those around us!

Below are a few reminders of things coming up in our Season of Service.

Angel Tree
All gifts have come in and we have sorted and organized everything by family. We can use some help in delivering gifts to the families. If you are interested in assisting with that, please see José on Sunday morning. We have many in the Newport News and Hampton area. A great way to for these families to know they are loved and cared for this Christmas season.

Christmas Service
Join us for a special Christmas service on Sunday, December 21, beginning at 10:30 AM. We’ll gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus through worship and the Word. Everyone is invited—bring your family, friends, and neighbors. We’d love to have you with us!

// New Bible Study Starting :: New Testament Read Through with Bill Cumbie

Join Bill Cumbie for a one-year journey through the New Testament! Beginning Tuesday, January 6th, we'll read one chapter per day (Monday-Friday) and meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 PM. Each week we'll review what we've read and preview what's coming next. The focus is simple: learning to read the Bible in a way that helps you know God better and love Him more. This isn't about academic study—it's about personal growth in your relationship with God through His Word. For more information, contact Bill Cumbie at bill@wcumbie.com.

// Nursery Volunteers Needed

Our nursery is growing in number and we need help in caring for all of our little ones on Sundays. We’d love to utilize the multiple rooms we have, but we need more volunteers to be able to make that happen.

We have a need for 6-8 individuals to serve on Sundays. It can be once a month, or as many times a month as you’d like. A background check is required.

If you’re interested in serving in the nursery, please contact Mandie Nolte at amandabarrack@gmail.com.
